In case you missed it, I just posted a pretty beefy article all about how English is losing its vice grip over the music industry, and how much more open we are to listening to music in other languages — all other languages.

I promised to deliver a massive playlist that follows these guidelines:

  1. No artists from an English-speaking country.

  2. No songs in English.

  3. No songs from super well-known artists.

  4. Only songs released in the last five years.

Yesterday, I gave you a taste of what that playlist had in store by breaking down some of my favorite tracks by genre. Today, the entirety of that playlist is all yours for the listening.

A quick note before I share the playlist — this community is incredible, and I want to thank each of you for being here. The comments of any post are always where the gold is, but yesterday’s was especially full of treasure.

Not only did my sister and I find meaningful connection from a commenter’s submission of a musical breakdown of one of our childhood favorite Soviet cartoons, but many of you recommended bands I’d already added to the playlist but hadn’t specifically called out.

I love that we’re all on the same wavelength.
